Overview

LiveCaptions does not collect, store, transmit, or share your data. No account is required. No audio or transcripts ever leave your Mac.

What we collect

Nothing. LiveCaptions does not collect any personal data, usage data, or analytics.

How your audio is processed

All speech recognition is performed entirely on-device using Apple's Speech framework. Your microphone audio is processed locally and is never transmitted to NeonTanuki Ltd or any third party. LiveCaptions does not record or write audio to disk.

On-device downloads

Apple's Speech framework may download a language model to your device when you select a language for the first time. This download is handled entirely by Apple and is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

Apple's data collection

LiveCaptions is distributed exclusively via the Mac App Store. Apple may collect certain diagnostic and usage information according to your device privacy settings. This data is collected and managed solely by Apple and is not accessible to NeonTanuki Ltd. See Apple's Privacy Policy for details.

Third-party SDKs

LiveCaptions contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

In-app purchases

Payment for the Pro upgrade is handled entirely by Apple via the App Store. NeonTanuki Ltd receives no payment data.

Children's privacy

LiveCaptions does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 18.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update this page.
